Our
Central Concert Band is made up of the students in both our Advanced/Intermediate and
Beginner Band classes at Central
High School. The Concert
band plays a variety of music, both classic and contemporary, that allow us to
showcase the skills of our aspiring musicians. Our jazz band is also made up of the band classes in Central and used
to be an after school program but had recently changed and became a
part of the Advanced Band Class. Both bands normally play at all Central and Bridgeport Concerts but the Concert Band along with the Marching Band are the ones that perform in the parades. We are constantly encouraging
new students to enroll in a band class so that we may grow and continue our
music program. If you attend Central High School and want to be part of the music program, talk to your counselor.
